Meka Robotics // Lead Robot Design Engineer // San Francisco, CA // May 2010 – Jan 2014

  • Began in the machine shop & assembling humanoid robot research platforms; machined & modified parts; built a variety of actuators & sub-assemblies; PCB testing & rework; cable harness & wiring routing, troubleshooting; technical documentation

  • Quickly became designer, project leader, & critical contributor amongst a small team of engineers (5 to 10) for the subsequent years leading up to the acquisition of the company by Alphabet Inc.

  • Learned to wear all hats within a project; independent leadership and control over projects; no funds for support staff

  • Lead Engineer on multiple key projects within in the company; Multi-discipline collaboration with leading researchers & industry partners (Stanford Robotics, S.R.I., Georgia Tech, Willow Garage, Redwood Robotics)
